Work Experience

Troy Hayes is the Past President of Midland Surveying, Inc. and a partner in Nodaway County Abstract and Northwest Missouri Land Title. As a Professional Surveyor, Mr. Hayes’ long tenure has earned him the proven reputation as an authority in Land Surveying. His knowledge of the field is widespread and among the most respected in the Midwest. He has served as the President of Midland Surveying, Inc 2005-2021 and Midland GIS Solutions, Inc 2012-2020. Troy has represented the Missouri Land Society of Professional Surveyors as an association president and Missouri Delegate to the National Society of Professional Surveyors.

After a 41-year career, Troy has entered semi-retirement. He currently serves as a land survey advisor on special projects.

Q & A

Where can I find you outside of work?
Most likely spending time with grandkids when I can. If not with the grandkids you can find me on the golf course or hunting.

What is your definition of success?
A loving wife, three great kids with great spouses and lots of grandkids.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Solving a difficult boundary issue because you followed all the steps by doing thorough research and picking up all the evidence in the field to fit the puzzle together 150 years later.
