TROY HAYES, PLS REPRESENTS MISSOURI SURVEYORS AT GEOSPATIAL CONFERENCE IN WASHINGTON DC

MARYVILLE, MO, March 20, 2017 – Troy Hayes, President of Midland Surveying, Inc. was recently in Washington DC as a representative of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors (MSPS). Troy attended the 3rd Annual 2017 National Surveying, Mapping and Geospatial Conference, which was held jointly by MAPPS and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) in Silver Springs, Maryland on March 13-17, 2017. As an active member of MSPS, Troy was appointed to serve as the NSPS Missouri Governor in 2011 and attended the conference as part of his commitment to the organizations he represents and the overall survey profession.

The purpose of this conference is to bring together decision makers in the geospatial community and focuses primarily on business practices, technology and government programs and policy issues that affect the membership of state survey associations. The conference also supports and compliments continuing education opportunities provided by state surveying societies. Members attending had the opportunity to visit with congressmen and senators at the U.S. Capitol to discuss various legislative issues that are relevant to the surveying and mapping community.
