After 40+ years in the land surveying industry, Rick Mattson is retiring as Executive Vice President of Midland Surveying, effective December 31, 2025.

Rick has been an integral part of the success of Midland Surveying. His career started as survey field assistant in 1987 and advanced to an ownership position the last 16 years. He passed examination for licensure in Missouri (PLS #2674), Kansas (PLS #1447), and Colorado (PLS #0038186). Rick maintained many important business relations. Clients included but were not limited to: Kansas NRCS, Missouri NRCS, Ideker, Herzog, City of St Joseph, Buchanan County, and Snyder & Associates.

Rick will remain with Midland Surveying working on a part-time basis.
