Work Experience
Rick Mattson is the current Executive Vice President of Midland Surveying, Inc. and has been with Midland Surveying since 1987.
Rick Attended Long View Community College in Lee’s Summit Missouri and Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph Missouri to pursue the Licensure of a Professional Land Surveyor. Rick is the current County Surveyor for Buchanan and Clinton County Missouri.
Rick supervises field survey crews dispatched daily from the St. Joseph Missouri office. His responsibilities include research compilation, project scheduling, analysis and review of the field survey, platting, and government corner registration.
Rick is a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors, Kansas Society of Land Surveyors, Professional Land Surveyors of Colorado and a member of the Missouri County Surveyors Association.

Where is the coolest place you have traveled?
The coolest place that I ever traveled was to the Mayan Ruins of Tulum in Mexico.

My favorite food would be a cheeseburger.
What are your hobbies?
My favorite hobbies would be hunting and golfing.

My favorite season is fall.
Do you have any pets?
We have a dog named Max.

I prefer coffee in the morning and tea for lunch and dinner.
